Welcome to York Region Dental Society
Welcome to the York Region Dental Society website! As a component society of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA), we represent the dentists of the York Region. We support each and every one of our members and are devoted to the highest ethical standards. We are also committed to increasing awareness about the importance of oral health to the people of the York Region and passionate about being active members of our community.

Dear YRDS Members,
On behalf of our executive committee, I would like to welcome you to a new year of membership with the York Region Dental Society (YRDS). Our team has been working hard to plan an eventful year and we are looking forward to seeing both familiar and new faces! We hope our efforts will foster camaraderie within our dental community and promote continued learning within our membership.
This year, we are hosting a variety of continuing education and social events that are heavily subsidized or free for our members, such as:
- Full day Category 1 lecture with Dr. Amir Azarpazhooh on cracked teeth
- Full day lecture with renowned speaker Dr. Gary Klasser on sleep bruxism
- Free annual dinner lecture with Dr. Eric Ebrahimi on anticoagulants with ODA and RCDSO updates
- Casino night themed Holiday Party with plenty of delicious foods and drinks
- Fun bowling, movie, skating and tennis days for the whole family
- CPR recertifications for dentists and their team members
Our dedicated executive committee works tirelessly throughout the year to bring you these events. I am grateful to all of our hardworking volunteers for making these events possible, and also to our sponsors for making these events more accessible to our members. We are always looking for new volunteers and committee members, so if you are looking to engage with your dental community in a meaningful and fun way, please reach out to us at info@yrds.ca.
